Our programs will include a variety of activities including art, music, movement, puzzles, games and socialization.

Our Mission in Nelson County

The mission of the Rockfish Enrichment Club (REC) is to enhance quality of life for adults living with memory loss through an engaging and supportive program; to provide valuable respite time to caregivers; and to offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for the broader community. Supported by experienced staff and specially-trained community volunteers, the REC program is a secular, non-medical model. 


A Variety of Activities

Our program will offer social and self-enrichment activities for individuals with dementia and Parkinson’s, while also giving caregivers a much-needed break. Activities will include:

  • Music and the arts

  • Brain games

  • Physical fitness

  • Pet therapy

  • Socialization activities

Rockfish Enrichment Center is offered in partnership with Here to Stay in Wintergreen, the Blue Ridge Medical Center, and the Rockfish Presbyterian Church.
